Actually, I have been told the door is not the best place, as insulin is
a 
 protein, and that over time, the movement of being constantly moved and
sloshed
from the door being opened/closed repeatedly shortens the life of the
insulin. 
Anyone have any further info bout this one?

whoops!
I've always kept insulin on the door (in the little space saved for
butter that has a door)
and never had a problem with insulin from the fridge not lasting.
