I completely agree with this. I was not disagreeing with you.  We aim for "6" 
and usually end up 5.6-5.8.

I was just curious who the specialist on the East Coast was and wanted to add 
that there is building evidence about ALA and evening primrose as supplements 
to fight glycoslation of hemoglobin.

Tight control is the best protection, IMHO
