This issue is as always YMMV. I can tell you as an almost 55 year diabetic
tight control has done the trick for me. I have had neuropathy for 35 years.
I would like many others sit right up in bed at 3:00 AM with extreme shots of
pain in my feet. In May of 2000 I went on the pump and my bouts with sleep
ending pain have stopped I am not sure of the number you must reach I can
only say I have been at 5.9 A1c for 9 months and I knock on wood for this.
