Re: [IP] Neuropathy

TERESA, IN REPLY TO THE NEUROPATHY, THERE IS NOTHING THAT WILL SLOW IT DOWN
OTHER THAN TIGHT CONTROL OF YOUR BLOOD SUGAR. I AM 29 YRS OLD AND I HAVE
BEEN TYPE I FOR 13 YRS. I WAS DIAGNOSED ABOUT 18 MONTHS AGO WITH SEVERE
DIABETIC NEUROPATHY. I HAVE SEEN THE LEADING SPECIALIST ON THE EAST COAST FOR
IT AND SHE SAYS THAT TIGHT CONTROL OF BGLS IS THE ONLY WAY. THERE ARE MEDS AND
STUFF LIKE EMLA CREAM THAT WILL HELP WITH THE PAIN. AND ALSO IF THE PAIN
BECOMES SEVERE YOU MAY TRY A TENS UNIT DEPENDING ON YOUR INSURANCE SITUATION.
THEY CAN ALSO USE SEIZURE MEDS FOR PAIN CONTROL ALSO. GOOD LUCK IN THE
FUTURE.
