this makes me think back to my brother's doc in the 50's Edwin L. Ripey, a 
diabetes specialist...I was also thinking about how we had not problems 
getting the schools to cooperate...and then I remembered he was the head of 
the school board too!! Great man! I found a pic from the newspaper back then 
of my brother inviting everyone to the Dallas Diabetes Association meeting 
and giving my parent's name and address.....how times change...
