There have been a number of studies on finger testing versus alternate-site 
testing. All say that when BGs are likely to undergoing rapid changes, such 
as after an injection or after eating, *test on the fingers* because test 
results at alternate sites do tend to lag behind finger sticks and you could 
register high when you're really low.
