I have had it done. What they cut out is like cysts in your intestine. Most
of them are benign, but the reason they cut them out is to do biopsies on
them just in case they *are* cancerous. It is not that big of deal. When I
had mine done, they cut out like 12 of them, and they were all harmless. The
worst part of the test is clearing out your bowels with that stuff they give
you to drink. The nurse told me I was weird. I was so bored sitting on the
toilet, that I read the label. There was an obscene amount of sodium per
glass, if I remember right, and don't quote me on this, it was between 800
and 100 mg of sodium per 8 oz. glass. And you had to drink like 3 glasses.
Horrible :/
Anyway, don't worry about the test. It doesn't hurt, and it is usually done
very quickly. The longest part is waiting for them to take you back to the
exam room!
