spot answers two in one:
24 hour urine collections are for evaluating the cratinine clearance ability
of the kidneys, how well they get rid of waste from the body or for
measuring how much microalbumin is leaking from your kidneys every 24 hours,
a measure of leakage which goes along with diabetic kidney disease. The
tests are done when the BUN or creatinine in the blood is higher than it
should be. once every three years is not unusual to evaluate function or
leakage. spot who is now somewhat of a kidney expert.
