[IP] changing batteries

Am I the only one who just waits for the "low battery" alarm to go off to
change the battery? My son is the pumper, I keep extra batteries at school,
home, his meter pocket, my purse and change when the alarm goes off. He uses
MM batteries (as they are covered by his insurance). We do not use the
remote, rarely use the back light, don't use the vibrate mode and I would say
his batteries last at least 8 weeks.
