One-half ounce of water for every pound you weigh.  That is what I was told
is recommended.  (Plus I live in a very humid environment - but it seems to
be helping.)  I feel better after doing it for 3 days.

Another point is to drink a lot of water (not just
liquids).  It turns out that our bodies burn fat
much better with a lot of water.
