Brenda,

I had a tattoo done in '92 (a small rose on my upper arm) the artist gave me
an antibiotic cream to put on as it was healing.  I'm not sure you can even
get that cream anymore but I know you can use basatracin or neosporin to
help the healing process.  Most important thing to remember is not to pick
or scratch the new "tat" while its healing no matter how bad it itches.
