Re: [IP] What she said...

"Cart before Horse is sometimes the way one learns. I attended the PUMP group here, read "pumping Insulin" and yakked with other pumpers (No 'puter yet) for about three years before I got mine.

Heck, would this make sense to tell the kids "School dosen't count, you'll lear when you get a job all you need to know."... Uh, I DON'T THINK SO......

I am sorry, no matter how much you want to defend her, in this case I think she is wrong to turn you off of the general info which would have helped you make a firm decision. You may decide the pump ISN'T for you because of this site and all the postings, or you may become even more determined.

I took classes in Anatomy and physiology, medical terminology and nutrition science. While I've had some doctors telling me "You don't need to know all that stuff!!" Others have cheered me on and even lent me THEIR books!

It depends on the person I guess, but it now sounds as if you're taking the responsability for her insecurity. Please don't. You have rights and if you want a pump, get some backbone and FIGHT for one.

It was thought I should not be on IP as I was not pumping, I did not
need to know that much, "putting cart before horse," I guess. This was
her thinking at time, she has a right to her opinion, as do we who
  disagree. Thanks for support! Linda
