[IP] Cholesterol for Diabetes

Since the way-most-likely cause of death for all diabetics (1's and 2's) is
heart disease, the current recommendation for cholesterol levels in all
diabetics  are the same as those for people who have known heart disease.
The LDL is recommended to be less than 100, and the HDL above 45.  There are
some nice studies that show that lowering cholesterol to these levels is
even more effective in reducing heart attacks for diabetics than it is for
the non-diabetic population.  So, if your cholesterol is high, I'd consider
doing what it takes to get it down - diet and exercise first, then meds if
