[IP] Joslin Clinic

Mny pumpers have mentioned that Joslin Clinics in their geographic areas
are closing or leaving the area. Keep in mind that these are franchises for
which hospitals pay large sums of money to Joslin for the right to use the
name. Many hospitals have decided that the docs are able to do the proper
thing for their patients without the Joslin name and have decided to no
longer pay for it. So, the key thing is are the same docs still there? Most
university trained endos are well trained and very capable. The important
thing to remember is how do you get alolng with your doc. Can you
communicate with him or her? Do you feel comfortable talking to him or
her? Can you discuss the most intimate details of your life with your endo?
These are the most important factors in a doctor patient relationship. If
your doc feels like a family member to you you are lucky.
