Re: [IP] Basal rates question

No, I have not done a fasting basal test. I have only been on the pump 6
days, and from what I was told by the dietician, the CDE doesn't like us to
fast, just try to eat 3 meals a day at approximately the same time each day.
The problem is that I leave for work at 6:30, eat lunch at noon, and often
don't get home until 8 p.m. So there is a while in between meals when my
sugars tend to drop, but I try not to snack, if I can help it.

Lynn,
Have you ever done a fasting basal test? Has anyone else done that before
to
see if your basal rates are set appropriately? I do them often to make sure
that my basal rates are set right, then I work out my insulin to carb ratio.
Of course, my CDE helps with all of this too!!
