According to medical books, clinical hypoglycemia is 50 or below. However, it
is relative to your body's response as to when your own individual system will
respond to try to raise it to a level to supply glucose to your brain as
glucose is the only fuel your nervous system can use.  The general standard of
recommendation for individuals taking any medication to lower BG is to avoid
Bgs below 70 or 80.  The target number is related to age and medical
condition.  Anyone with hypoglycemia unawareness (dininished response from
adrenalin, glucagon, cortisol, growth hormone) should always try to avoid BGs
below 100.
