Not to worry.  I don't think you could put an obstructive kink in the
tubing if you deliberately tried.  Under belt will never be a problem.  The
only thing I'm not sure about is whether there might be enough pressure
associated with Ted's problem to obstruct the tubing. Only solution there
is to cut down on the viagra :-)
