To the best of my knowledge, United Health Care won't pay for any of the
CGMS stuff right now unless you negotiate a one time deal with them.
Since the CGMS stuff doesn't have some billing code, it can't be
processed as a routine item, like an insulin pump. Supposedly Medtronic
is getting that code this fall, but they were supposed to have it
earlier this year.
Anyone out there have experience with getting United Health Care to pay
for the minilink and sensors? I'm working on it, and would appreciate
any knowledge gained by someone who has already fought this battle. My
522 arrives today and I can't wait to get the glucose sensor!
