I don't have an Omnipod, but I've never felt a need to disconnect and cap
the set during "intimate moments." Generally the other person is a good deal
more concerned about all that than I am. I sleep with my pump every night.
Doing anything else in bed doesn't provide any more difficulties. Keep
mindful of where it's laying and things should be fine. I've had no issues
with this using silhouettes, nor when I was bending needles and using
tegaderm. I can't think of any compelling reason why things would be
different with an Omnipod.

I should think the 18mm unit is the one intended for people with more fat in
the infusion site area.
