I think my first step would be to make a written complaint to your insurance
company, stating that the endocrinologist they've contracted with is not
meeting your medical needs.  Put the onus on them to find one that does.
Remember, not all endocrinologists are diabetic specialists that stay up on
best treatment practices.  You deserve to be treated by one that does!

If this insurance is employer-provided, I would make the same complaint with
your employer.  At the very least I think they would want to know that they
are contracting for services that don't meet their employee's needs.  The
last stop is, of course, your state insurance commission.  Many states have
laws that require diabetic supplies be covered by insurance.  I have not
heard of any that have an exception for pumps and pump supplies.

Don't put up with their crap!
