I don't subtract fiber (although I do try to eat fiber rich foods - ie brown 
rice, whole wheat bread and pasta etc) and I don't use the glycimic index. I 
figure you have to draw the line somewhere - and where I'm at right now - 
thats the line.

(who do however employ the "fudge factor" when eating out - adding an extra 
10-15 carbs to account for sauces & other hidden carbs.)
