i was reading the Diabetes Interview and came across the article on
Pycnogenol which is a herb now being used for retinopathy. it increases the
circulation to the eye and also protects small blood vessels in the area....
the reserach has been claimed to actually combat or reverse retinopathy in
SOME patients.
it's said to stimulate nitric oxide levels, which counteracts the blood
vessels and prevents oxidation of the LDL cholesterol.
They are saying to take 0.5mg per pound of body weight.
you can go to www.pycnogenol.com or call 877-369-9934 for more info........
note: Pycnogenol is available in the United States but cannot be marketed by
that name because of a patent dispute. Masquelier's original Pycnogenol
extract is available under three patent names:
* OPC GrapeGold and OPC PineGold by Primary Source, Inc
*Proanthenols by LifePlus
*True OPCs by Nature's Way........

i got this info out of the April issue of DiabetesInterview for anyone
interested in reading more about it..... it's on page 37!! hope this helps
someone! it sounds very promising!!
