Hubby Shane (age 31) treats in a similar way. He will eat between 5 and
20 carbs depending on just how low he is. Then if he is still hungry
(usually happens with the more severe lows) he will eat extra and bolus
for it.  Sometimes he will wait a bit before the bolus, or bolus
slightly less than what he thinks he will need just to prevent going low
again right away. He is not exactly skinny, but still pretty slim. Since
pumping, he has actually lost 2 pounds cause he no longer needs a
sandwich, ice cream, and milk before bed each night.
