I don't see how it could mess up the pump.  I will be doing this myself
soon... and I will wear my pump on it.  The lasers that they yse are very
very weak lasers.

The lasers in your supermarket checkout lanes are more powerful.  We use a
laser scanner at work and it has yet to interfere with my pump.  (The whole
two weeks I have had it)
