Re: [IP] Diabetic Mastitis(?)

I have never heard of diabetic mastitis, but wanted to share an experience I had
to possibly give you another option or idea. About 9 years ago, when I was 30,
my doctor found some lumps. She immediately ( same day ) sent me to a
specialist. She wanted to to go to her doctor, but in case I needed surgery she
sent me to another specialist at the hospital in which my endo practiced out
of. Anyway, the next day Dr. Jolly ( arg I'll never forget him, definitely not
an appropriate name. ) was operating on me. He had me convinced after four
hours of test that I had breast cancer. A year goes by and my doctor finds more
lumps, this time she told me you tell me what to do with your diabetes in case
of surgery and I want you to see my doctor. So I did. It turned out to be (
excuse the spelling ) fibrosis ( something very common in woman, build up of
tissue and causing lumps ). It's not serious at all and is common to have one
breast larger than the other. Implying that it is not very typical that it is
in both breast. Nine years later I am doing fine. The Dr. did suggest to
decrease these lumps cutting back on coffee and he mentioned a few other, that I
can't remember. Anyway, I would definitely get a second opinion if you can.
