Might want to try something like Soda or Ritz crackers. Most of the 
starch is converted to glucose by saliva when it is chewed. What 
remains must be converted by digestion but all goes pretty quickly.

15 to 30 g/hr of ritz, cheezits, goldfish, etc... ain't to hard to 
take :-). This has worked well for Lily on swim team workouts.
